Crash With Injuries Closes Garden State Parkway Exit In South Jersey, Police Say (Developing)

An exit on the Garden State Parkway in Atlantic County was closed due to a crash near the interchange, authorities said.

Egg Harbor Township police responded to the crash at the traffic lights for the intersection of Fire Road and the parkway exit ramps on Tuesday, July 16, the department said in a Facebook post. The state Department of Transportation reported the crash near the northbound exit ramp at 11:56 a.m.

Police said injuries were reported but didn't mention how many people or vehicles were involved in the crash.

Drivers were asked to avoid the area and to use another parkway exit.
